Our staff teams
Each member of our caring staff team is carefully selected through a robust recruitment and selection process and an enhanced DBS check. Once selected, they are provided with a thorough induction process and allowed to settle into our routines and safe ways of working alongside established, experienced staff.
Our staff teams are trained in first aid, health and safety, administering medication, food safety and hygiene and many other aspects which ensure the safety of everyone with a balanced approach, without stifling children’s natural curiosity and enthusiasm during their learning and play.
Our staff are chosen for their enthusiasm, patience and positive approach and we pride ourselves on our commitment to continuous professional development, ensuring that all staff continue to flourish and grow alongside the children they are caring for!

Our attention to safety and security
We regard the safety, security and welfare of all children, staff, parents and visitors to our setting as paramount and as part of this, require everyone to adhere to the safe working practices and policies that we have in place. We have security systems for all our entrances and children can only be collected by authorised adults. Special arrangements can be put in place for others to collect by prior discussion and agreement with the manager only. Staff are not allowed personal mobile phones or cameras in the setting and all visitors to the setting are strictly controlled. We work with regulatory bodies, parents and carers to ensure we have a safe, secure and hygienic setting which ensures the welfare of the children in our care whilst also providing them with opportunities to explore and discover and to develop curiosity and enthusiasm during their play, activities and experiences – a balanced approach.
Our key person approach
We ensure that each child has their own key person who will provide them with extra comfort, security and reassurance if necessary and will also keep you updated about your child’s time at the nursery. They are responsible for ensuring that your child’s development is monitored and encouraged, for keeping detailed records and ensuring the child's learning journey up-to-date, and for sharing this information confidentially with you. They support your child while they initially settle in and then guide them through enjoying new activities, getting to know them well and sharing in the fun of the nursery day!
Our partnerships with parents and others
We know that parents are a child’s first educators and we need your knowledge about your child to enable us to play our part in further encouraging their educational development. That’s why partnerships with parents and carers are so important to us and as part of this, we ensure that we ask for, and pass on information about your child’s time with us every single time that they attend our setting.
We provide an online learning journal for your child with lots of photographs, comments and anecdotes which you can access anytime via a secure password protected app on your mobile, tablet or ipad and computer to view and see just what your child is doing during their time with us and how much they enjoy it. You can also add your own photographs and comments which can be viewed by your childs key person enabling them to have a better knowledge of your child and their development, ensuring a true partnership between the setting and families. Displays and photographs around the setting show you the kinds of activities that your child participates in.
We also have established links with relevant professionals, such as health visitors who can come into the setting when needed to further support children recognised as needing additional input such as speech therapy or around additional developmental or special needs or support.
These relationships are important to us and together, we can provide the consistent, individual care that your child needs and deserves.
