For the children that attend our nursery in Newcastle Upon Tyne, we have created three clubs that comprise of the different age groups that come to us. We begin with the Tiny Tots, which is designed for infants aged between 3 months and 2 years. Following this, we have the Little Tykes for children older than two years old, where they finally progress into the Early Years. We believe that in order for kids to progress, they need to feel comfortable at all times. For us to achieve this, we have focused on a key person approach, which means that each child will have a dedicated teacher/assistant that will concentrate on helping them. As a result, we can closely monitor each child’s progression and development, as well as creating records that can be passed onto the parents/carers and their next schooling level. The key person is also available to provide support and encouragement throughout, making sure that the children are always motivated to get involved. 

Although the connection with the children is key, it’s vital that we build a strong partnership with the parents/carers at our Nursery in Newcastle Upon Tyne. This allows us to provide valuable feedback and information between the two parties, providing further support with their child’s development. We will host a consultation twice a year with the parents/carers, where we will discuss their progress at the nursery, as well as their time at home. We can also create records that can be passed onto their next schooling venture, allowing for them to gain a better view on their previous journey.
